I find it interesting how most people are generally satisfied with following the norms, even if they are as crazy as you describe above. I guess this is where real leadership is important - if there are actually responsible (i.e. Krishna conscious) leaders, the norms can be set in such a way that will serve to gradually liberate the people - i.e. varnasrhama dharma
I took a client to museum of Welsh life, as we looked how life in Wales has developed you could see how life went from the simple to the modern way of life. As a devotie I was the only one attracted to the simple house not the modern so called way of life.
Loved your comment it’s so true and reflects my thoughts and contamplations as I walked around to see how we have not advanced but made things more complicated for ourselfs; as stated we will never understand how wonderful Maya is at deluding us from the truth
