Family Affair - Part one.
I have just had my mother stay in the ashram with me for 4days. I had been talking to her the week prior, and she was expressing some areas of suffering in her hard life. I said “Look mum, come and stay with me for a few days. Don’t organise a thing, just give me your credit card number so I can arrange your flight. I will pick you up from the airport, you can stay in my flat with me, I will feed you the most glorious food (Healthy Krishna prasad), give you a nice bed with duvet and pillow (I won’t make you sleep on the floor with me), …everything, I will make it easy for you; what do you say?”. Also, I said “Aren’t you curious of what the day in the life of a Hare Krishna is like – and that of your own daughter”. I gave her till the next day to think about it. I knew for her to agree would be a very big thing. She is secure in her beach dwelling on the shore of one of New Zealand’s East Coast Beaches. My plan was to rip her out of that comfort zone, and give her a descent dose of re-spiritualization for that pure soul trapped within her body. I was determined to help her out with the little I know, but with the most potent thing – the gentle and caring association of very wonderful Vaisnavis.

Every Time I see your web sight I find the most amazing information. Sharing Krsna With Family is something special, It is nice that you are helping your mum to come out of the comfort zone and experience life for real the way it should be, in the association of Devoties with Krsna at the centre.
I look forward to your next entry
